Staff Consultant – Engineering
We are seeking candidates for a Staff Consultant position in our Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Phoenix, New York, and Washington D.C. offices.
Responsibilities will include:
- Project schedule and cost analysis;
- Computer modeling;
- Fact-finding; and
- Document review.
Specific analyses may include:
- Assistance with the preparation and review of construction damage and schedule claims and counter claims (including the use of P6 and Microsoft Project platforms),
- Assistance with the preparation of expert reports, expert testimony and exhibits for trial or settlement negotiations;
- Involvement in litigation, arbitration or mediation.
Most importantly, candidates will work on maintaining and fostering client relationships through superior client service. Candidates must be willing to travel to client locations and other Kenrich offices as required.
Candidates must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in an Engineering discipline (Construction Management and/or Civil Engineering preferred). Candidates must have had a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Candidates should have 0 – 3 years of experience in the construction industry in project management or in claims consulting. Significant travel may be required.
Applicants must be highly motivated and possess excellent analytical, organizational, communication and computer skills. Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) concepts and high-level proficiency in Prima Vera P6 scheduling software is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
