Meet Our People

“At Kenrich, I enjoy the variety of challenges that come across my desk. On any given day I could work on one or multiple engagements and perform a variety of tasks, such as document review, cost analysis, schedule analysis, presentation development, or all of the above. Every engagement has unique aspects which require critical as well as creative thinking. The diversity and challenge of the work keeps me engaged and motivated to come into the office every day.

Since I work mainly on construction-related engagements, my Civil Engineering background helps improve my work performance. My knowledge and understanding of many construction terms and concepts is beneficial for document review as well as schedule analysis. Also, the problem solving skills and techniques that I developed throughout my engineering classes can be readily applied to almost any cost or schedule analysis I perform.

The people at Kenrich are a major component of what makes work enjoyable for me. We have an open-door policy, and I feel comfortable walking into any co-worker’s office to have a discussion – work related or not. Every employee is encouraged to express their ideas and actively participate in all phases of an engagement.”

Joshua Simpson
Principal - Washington D.C.

“I began my career at Kenrich after graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Commerce that included coursework in accounting and finance. I chose Kenrich because I wanted to apply the skills I learned in college in a variety of different cases and practice areas. In my time at Kenrich I have been able to work on more than 20 cases spanning commercial damages investigations, government contracts disputes, breaches of contract, and intellectual property disputes.

At Kenrich we believe the best way to learn is by doing, and I was immediately able to apply the accounting and finance skills I learned in college to client cases. From the accounting side, my undergraduate background has allowed me to analyze clients’ internal accounting system reports to segregate accounting records into various claimable cost categories. My work has also included selecting a statistically representative sample of transactions to review for compliance with accounting standards. Further, I have applied the knowledge I gained from financial coursework to perform cost of capital and discounted cash flows calculations on a variety of cases. All in all, I have enjoyed working at Kenrich because each day is different and filled with unique challenges and great learning opportunities.”
