“I began my career at Kenrich after graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Commerce that included coursework in accounting and finance. I chose Kenrich because I wanted to apply the skills I learned in college in a variety of different cases and practice areas. In my time at Kenrich I have been able to work on more than 20 cases spanning commercial damages investigations, government contracts disputes, breaches of contract, and intellectual property disputes.
At Kenrich we believe the best way to learn is by doing, and I was immediately able to apply the accounting and finance skills I learned in college to client cases. From the accounting side, my undergraduate background has allowed me to analyze clients’ internal accounting system reports to segregate accounting records into various claimable cost categories. My work has also included selecting a statistically representative sample of transactions to review for compliance with accounting standards. Further, I have applied the knowledge I gained from financial coursework to perform cost of capital and discounted cash flows calculations on a variety of cases.
